We believe voter privacy is sacred. When browsing candidate cards, race battlegrounds, or executive order archives, you do so completely anonymously. We do not require account registration, do not collect names, home addresses, phone numbers, or political party affiliation from visitors.

2. Local Storage & Cookies

VoteHuman uses standard browser localStorage solely to remember client-side preferences you select during your visit:

• Your preferred view mode (e.g. Race grouping vs. Individual candidate bubbles).
• Your selected election cycle filter (e.g. 2026 vs. 2028).
• Dismissal status of the privacy notice banner.

These values never leave your browser and are not shared with any third parties.

3. Submissions & Community Tips

When you submit evidence, news citations, or audio/video recordings through our Submit Data portal, the information provided (candidate name, URL, quote text) is stored in our public evidence database to verify factual accuracy. You may choose to submit evidence completely anonymously or include an email address if you wish to receive verification updates.

4. Third-Party Integrations

VoteHuman utilizes select independent services for specific operational needs:

• Tally.so: Used on our submission page to ingest community citations and debate transcripts. Tally adheres to GDPR compliance.
• Ko-fi: Used on our donation page to process volunteer contributions. Payment details are processed securely and never handled by VoteHuman servers.
• Public Data APIs: FEC.gov and Bioguide API data feeds are queried directly without user telemetry.
